I did above. This coil has 4 tie downs using two chains. You can see the slack between the binders.

The whole idea of binder locks is just to keep a stationary object stationary... In this case there is zero force being applied to the locking device, provided they are short enough to keep the binder handle from reaching that cam-over point.

Therefore, it dont matter if it is a piece of shoelace, twine, wire, bungee, or some high felutin locking device... They all do the same thing just as effectively. Anybody that has used a snap binder will understand what I have just explained... Just think how far you have to PUSH BY FORCE that handle before the binder releases and goes slack.

By the time you buy a snap binder and locking clip you could by a ratchet binder for same price. By the time use use snap and then install a clip you could be done using a ratchet.

Beans pic is great just follow chain, left to right. One hook in front of coil goes thru to the rear binder on the left. Then throw chain back thru eye of the coil to hook, in this pick it becomes position 3 from left to right in the front. Take the back of that chain and hook binder to position 2 left to right in the rear. Now as long as that loop is in between them its is two securement devices. Both chain hooks in the front, both binders in the rear. Repeat the other side. Same thing suicide, but don't cross any chains.

@Bean Jr. Nice job. I have never used the sliding d rings. Just cleaned them up in accidents, do the stay put well. I have a old wagon and use chain pop ups. And like mine more out and down than crossed to the rear. but works.
