...trying hard not to make a crayon or a marker joke. You’ll escape this time, James!

    It makes sense now...

This is a single chain, 2 binder coil. The j hooks in front of the coil are out wide, at the back they're inside so there is enough slack. 20180914_100623.jpg

This is how you secure a coil in a very short time span.2 chain, 4 j hooks. Hook one end to right rail and other to left center rail, and do the other side the same way. Throw both through the eye. Go around to back hook binder on right rail and hook to end of chain that is on right rail. Then hook right center to end that is hooked to left center, and proceed with other 2. Put edge protectors on front, throw straps over the top according to weight, pull tarp over. Put edge protectors on back side of coil then crank those muthas until it's tight. Pull tarp the rest of the way over and you're done.

Typing this took longer than it takes.

I'm actually slow. Those guys in Indiana with the doubles and the centipede axles are much faster than I am.

They do it 5 days a week, sometimes multiple times a day. I do it a half dozen times a year. I've accepted i will never be as fast as them.

But i also pull outside as soon as i can and finish it out of the way.
