Its a pointless argument. The pot stirrer is a wannabe. Easy to judge others when you're not out here doing it.

I never bothered to change my status, I did it long enough to come to that conclusion, though.

So all the heavy haulers who run daycabs over the road are lazy at chaining?
    I think not....

That's funny isn't it Carl. I'd sure like to see mr wannabe hump ten or twelve half inch or five eighths chains a couple times a day.

    cnsper Thanks this.

This is true, That's why I turned down a local job several years back in Seattle,Wa. area.
They did port work, and was just to much work for this fat man.lol
When we did the wind job in Il. years back it was 12 1/2" chains on the ld. ld. chain unld. unchain and reld and chain. Then maybe unld. and go back for ld. 3. so that's working those 12 chains and binders at least 2 full times and 1 tie down.
Even with my wife helping makes a long day

My old company couldn't understand why I wanted 5' chains. Took me 10 months of asking. Once I told them to carry that 20' chain around all day, they acquiesced. Best they still really didn't understand.

    Hey that sounds familiar.

This was my first flatbed load ever, after a 5 day long securement class (no real-world flatbed training), delivered to a small clay pipe place in oakland that required me to turn around in a neighborhood. That was fun.
