LOL. I waited the two months so I could collect my vacation pay. That’s how I structured my departure. The day my vacation pay was in my account I left with no notice. I wasn’t going to risk giving them two weeks notice.

What was the company out of DFW running to houston and back home often.. that paid well @Chinatown ? Transam?

Was wondering for myself too.. 3 months is pretty low probably they want more but DFW used to have an abundance of line haul.. Home weekends or daily last I looked which is what the OP wants I think?

Man do your best to hang on another 3 months.
Going to a new company (most of the good decent one's) with 3 months is almost the same as going there with 3 weeks. You gey yo start at the bottom of the bottom. And prove yourself all over again.
Waiting at least 6 months, you will have more options, freight will be picking up right about then if it hasn't already.
Talk to your office try to get higher than dispatch. Explain you LOVE your job and where your working. But need more to keep the lights on at home.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

@ulenie if you want to make great money also look at the LTL companies such as Old Dominion, Averitt, FedEx, AAA, Saia, Xpo,Southeastern, R&L, Estes and U.S. Road.

    Good luck

Starting over as a newbie is not something I want to do.

Yup this is the reason I stayed on. They just dont have the Freight. They hire a bunch of new drivers every week regardless. So that makes the matter worse

Ya I looked into them. The thing that kind of turned me off from them was they arent OTR. And from what I gather they arent assigned trucks. I currently live in the truck...just crash at friends place once a month or so
