Wash minimum of every other week now, your fm should be able to calculate tolls by run, if you ask them, % is the best way to go for a rookie starting out.

When freight is good % is OK. I was not with TMC, but I was bouncing a lot for loads. Freight rates are down across the boards for most flatbeds. Even mercer loads was down when I was running with them. Mileage might be best now.

I only worked for TMC for 5 months or so. I quit in April because of two reasons #1 I was averaging only $400 a week bring home. #2 having some personal issues at home which #1 didn't help at all. I thought of coming back and give it another shot, but since I live New Jersey and most of what I ran was in the North East corridor, the no more pre-pass and other issues made me think twice. I was a rookie but was doing well and I liked most aspects of the job. But like others have said, newbies coming in now might not have a hard time,, but I would since I was there when they had those little things that are big things with drivers.

I hope things pick up and they give back what they took away, but usually once its gone they don't give it back. If they did return to like before, I think I might give it another shot

I got my truck back from service in Indy with no heat in the sleeper. I'm gonna go ahead and take that as a red flag. things don't look good.

watch that idle time this winter!

this company still has their head so far up their own ### they wouldn't know it if they did file bankruptcy. they'd send us a message about the federal bankruptcy statutes not meeting their standards, thus they refuse to file.

Per FMCSA regs heat HAS TO WORK in the truck, don't have to have AC

Sleeper heat isn't that big of a deal. I owned my own truck for a while sans sleeper heater working. Open a vent in the sleeper, put the front heat on fresh air and go to sleep. The heat from the front will push into the sleeper. I like it cooler for sleeping any way.
