I pop mine every morning....No matter what! If it's been idling all nite, I shut it off and check the fluids and belts...No exceptions, EVER!
I have found developing problems more than once over the years that could have cost me plenty.
Opening the hood and checking these things and giving the whole unit a good once over is a discipline that any good driver does as a matter of S.O.P. If you don't do it....You should!
Is TMC going Under???

Do I raise the hood everyday? Yes, if I feel there is the need to look at something. Do I raise the hood EVERY morning? No, not usually. If I'm in my usual unit, it's not really necessary, because I know my truck & the sounds it makes.
SHOULD I raise the hood & do a full-fledged PTI EVERY morning? Of course I should! And so should YOU! Am I going to do that? Yes, I am. At least once a week, & probably more than that! Because I like to KNOW that my stuff is working, so that I avoid the attention of "interested parties". -
If TMC goes tits up,the driver will be the last to know.

If TMC is having cash flow problems and the the Bank cuts off credit. It could happen any day. Trucking is a dog eat dog world. The Trucking Industry is being burned to the ground.

anyone notice how empty it looks at the Indy terminal. They didn't have anything i needed from tires to fuel additive. Mechanic told me they are downsizing everything to Des moines? I'm very nervous where the company will be in 6 months. They have always treated me right.
EXPECT THE WORST HOPE FOR THE BEST! -
