I worked as an accountant for over 20 years before I got sick and tired of working over 80 hours a week. I left the business and employees behind.

If you must know, while an accountant I was also a volunteer fire fighter. During this time I became a licensed paramedic.

I also always wanted to drive a truck since I road with an uncle back in 1972 and really enjoyed it.

Since you have a hard time reading. I never said I was an IRS agent. Please learn to read.

I've got a long history of different companies that were NOT under the table and they still act like I am lying to them. What do you do when a trucking company no longer exists?

    at least 2 things.........

    1) order up a DAC report, it will at least show companies in your file,
"up to" 7 years, and possibly 10

    2) if you happen to have 10 or even 7 years of your w-2's you are still holding onto, make copies.

if one feels this badly, one can always go see an accountant and set up a quarterly tax payment plan with the IRS......

on the other hand, written letters from business people, like a landscaper, tree company, maybe even a clergy can help "in some way" to establish some sort of work. or best to just get a menial job (like) flipping burgers for the taxes to be taken out and establishing some earned money.

I had to provide the W-2 copies for a couple of the trucking companies that went belly up. They also accepted copies of the log books as well.
