Ishift slipping

    Hello,
    2008 Volvo d13 with a 2014 ishift transmission.
    When in 12th gear and cruising, rpms will jump to 12-15 for about a second. It also feels like i loose drive power.
    Used to happen once every 5k miles, now it's every 30min to an hour. Sometimes does not happen for longer.
    Any suggestions what could be the cause, would really be helpful before I take to shop.

    It could be a loose battery/starter cable, ground cable, loose ECM connection that gives the impression that your truck is loosing power or the transmission is slipping.

    Check all wiring harnesses for chafing and that the connectors are tight.

    It could also be a bad fuel injector that intermittently misses.

    With all the bad roads out there, you'll be surprised at what can work its way loose.

    Get clutch checked especially if it smells like burnt brakes

    Got it checked out. Will be replacing clutch and transmission mounts.

    I think around 500k. It should be done today, I'll let you know in a week if issue was resolved. I looked at the computer and you can clearly see how far the clutch has to travel to have contact with engine. 2k later new clutch on a Volvo ishift.

    I have a eaton auto shift doing the same thing. Only have 260k on the truck. Guess I need to have my clutch adjusted.

    New clutch fixed it. If it's auto not sure if it can be adjusted.

    Always put in N when parked a buddy had a driver burn out 2 clutches in 200,000 miles turns out he left in gear when stopped and they said that's why the clutches went even truck doesn't move till throttle is pushed
