Just bought a 2015 volvo vnl and I got had….new to being an O/O. Got a good price on it but immediately found out it needed a clutch assembly replaced. Replaced a whole mess of parts but still having issues. Now the when the truck downshifts I have to come to a complete stop and start over. The truck shifts upwards just fine but hesitates at the start and then almost slams into gear. Any thoughts?

Should have gotten the U-shift option.

I am not sure and not very mechanically inclined, but when they replaced the clutch did they replace the actuator? I have read from other posts by a knowledgeable mechanic who posts on here a lot that deals with Volvo trucks that if you replace the clutch you may as well replace the actuator while you are there as well. @nasriza is the Volvo guru. May take a minute for him to get on here and see, but I am sure if he sees the thread he will offer some advice.

You need to have it scanned. There is a ribbon cable in the transmission that connects the shift position sensors to the TCU The cable fails over time and can cause a number of problems.
