When I worked in the gasfield we had an International 9400 daycab hauling a water tanker with a 500hp ISM in it. Snappy little motor, really, and didn't get that far behind the ISX and the Cats except on long pulls. With an appropriate number of gears and HP rating, a small motor is not necessarily a bad thing.

Well I purchased a 01 fr8 single axle with the ISM. Haven't started driving it for work yet. Been working out some problems...
Truck was maintenance differed in some area's. I think we're close to putting it in service.

Thanks for all the input. If anyone else has any more input on the posting or advice please speak up.
    Thanks again

My man, I'm looking at a 2010 8600 with the ISM in it. Do you know of any regen problems with that particular engine? I know the Maxx Force is complete junk .
