Issues with broker

This is the first time something like this has happened to us, we are good for the most part, we never really had too many issues. My dad has been a truck driver for over 15 years, I just moved back to Texas and decided to help him out so I am the one who is doing all the learning in this field.

To anyone who is curious as to what is going on with this issue with the broker, as shocking as it may be.. it is now day 12 and nothing has been done. They have kept me out of the loop and only been wanting to talk over the phone with my driver but I need all conversations in writing from now on so I told the driver to not answer their calls any longer and the broker is now threatening us saying they are going to do a claim and they have been trying to avoid a claim. The shipper does not want this load and neither does the receiver, the chips are going bad in the trailer and I am all out of patience. We did call OOIDA and they were super helpful but since they threatened us we tried to call back to see what we can do and the lady is gone for the day. We will be calling her back first thing tomorrow morning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as always
