Cheap and easy one, is to check and keep tabs on tire inflation on all trucks. Make sure the tires are up to spec. You can gain mileage by keeping them to recommended level.

What oil filters are you running on the ISX's? There were a lot of soot/sludge built up problems with many filters. Some even dropped oil pressure after a few thousand miles due to the filters clogging. Also, are you changing the oil with the engines warm?

Oil is changed every 17k with a Donaldson filter, we actually just moved from donaldson to Fleet Gaurd which is used by the factory. Oil is being drained at 120* so it can flow easily. Oil samples are taken at this time as well at every service. Tire pressures are checked weekly and logged along with tire wear and tires are rotated when there is a difference in wear of 2/32nds between the front axle and the rear, steers are demounted and swapped as well using equal all around.

Right now the Fleetguard LF9080 is the only filter I'd use. Cummins has a patent on the soot/sludge trap in that filter, no other manufacturer makes a comparable filter right now. In a few years, things may change, but we seen a drop in soot levels when we switched from Balwin to Fleetguard.

The newest fleetguard is LF14000, or baldwin BF50000. I agree with HeavyD… check the static timing. Go to Rawze.com to complete EGR Tuneup.
