I tried the O ring fix, didn't work. The water pump has to come out and you have to replace the plastic housing on the back of it. Cummins sells a rebuild kit for it.
Volvo told me it was the O ring as well. didn't help, just wasted almost 400$ for nothing.
Now I am doing it myself. Got it almost all off, just 2 bolts behind the damper. Have to get a long 13mm wrench and bend the head 45 degrees on it to get those two out, unless I can manage to get the alternator bracket off.
Alternator comes off, try and take the bracket off that holds the alternator and the AC unit, will be much easier.
Let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Hello Pawpaw, Update from my last post:
Removed the water pump, to remove it properly, need to take off the AC, alternator bracket.
The O rings and the plastic backing on the back of the water pump is about 50$ from Cummins. Not hard to do at all.
Just need a lot of patience to do this job. Having never done this before, it took me 4.5 hrs. same as the shop would charge.
If you dont want to take off the water pump, then there is one O ring right behind the water pump. So all that would have to be removed is the section behind the water pump and possibly take the same time. But no guarantee it will fix the leak. That's what the shop had done before only to have it leak again.
Take care. -

Hello fellas. I'm here to share some advice about this water transfer pump on Cummins isx 15.
I have Volvo Vnl 2011 with cummins isx 15 in 500hp. It started leaking coolant from that water transfer pump so that pipe goes from water pump to the egr. It is a two piece pipe one shorter that is on the EGR side and one LONGER that goes to water pump, it was leaking between those pipes. There is a O ring, actually 3 "O" rings from both sides that connect to egr and water pump and one o ring between those two pipes. It was only leaking when cold and then after 5-10 minutes would stop but still i was losing coolant and i don't like that lol. OK all you need to do is get those o rings from Cummins (in my case i bought them from Kenworth cause cummins didn't have in stock, cost me $8.50) on the egr side there is one bolt 10mm and to water pump bolt is 13mm and one in the middle that holds the pipe to the block is 13mm too. Take the two piece pipe out and clean it nice at the ends and in between. Take out the hose that goes from turbo to the intake its easier and be ready to have breaker or something for those 13mm because on my truck were difficult to take them out( braker did the job). Install new O rings and leak will be gone, but clean it very nice inside and out. The worst part that happend to me when i drain the coolant i lost like 4 gallon but still cost me cheaper then Cummings or Volvo at my case. 4 Gallon x $12 and $8.50= $56.50 instead of paying 400-500 like i read in someones exipiriences.( be smart save you coolant and it will cost you 3-4 hours and $10. Have a good day guys.I will post the pipes and O rings in picAttached Files:
