Dave, normally a fuel pressure code is thrown and a check engine light is hitting you in the face. Shut it down immediately and call a wrecker. The motor will be toast within 200 to 300 miles. the sooner it is caught, the less expensive the surgery. If the motor survives, the normal repair cost is in the $10,000 to $15,000 range.
When you get to the oil pressure dancing, it is to late. -
I'd just like to hear the OP version.Justrucking2 Thanks this.

It's being done by private shop in Brandon,MB. Canada.

I wish you good luck, I in framed mine myself after what the dealer did to me, she is still running true... Do you know Unilever? Just curious.Oldironfan Thanks this.

no, sorry I don't know him. Thanks for the encouragement, I'll make the money up...eventually. I read your post about inframing with Rawze. Wow! That guy has a big heart. Wish more people were like him. I've watched numerous videos he's made, and makes repairs simple.
As for my truck... I've experienced my fill of that engine. I'll drive till my repair debt is paid off, then sell it asap. I'm looking at going back to old-school Detroit 60, N-14 plus, Cat 6NZ, etc. I don't drive anywhere but Canada and not worried about emissions. At least I'm comfortable knowing I'll get an easy 900K-1M+ miles out of them.Justrucking2 Thanks this. -
This happen to me on my Volvo 2011 with cummins isx 15, 500hp. On 800k did overhaul. I picked up the truck and oil pressure would ho down to 5 if i can say. While running it will go no more then 10-15. Same thing happend fuel pump fail and somehow throwing metal savings in the engine( this was mechanic mistake). Went to PA from OH drove around 300 miles and bum huge oil leaking from the engine. Drove it back to the shop and bought 7-8 gallons oil so i can add while i was driving back there. They had to reopen the whole engine and change again the parts that they were damaged from those metal shaving. Since then i had 100k miles truck runs fine. Oil pressure around 26-29 when idling and while running 1400-1500rpm around 35-38.

Pretty common for them isx engines to turn yellow around here. Too bad you aren't closer, neighbor has one he pulled before it went bad sitting in his shop floor. It is ready for an inframe, but not toast yet, and I bet he would make someone a deal.
-
I don’t know why cummins still haven’t talked about this or issue a recall, because this is terrible one engine part to destroy the whole engine which good rebuild cost 20-25k. I paid 22k for mine. Stealerships!

Yes...either have it rebuilt or buy another.
