Had one turbo go out on my 2007 c13 430 hp 1650 torque, cost 1500.00, dealer said both turbos are the same price as one isx turbo if it goes out.

a few guys on here have done just that unplug it, but most have had problems of another sort, contact pdi and they will tell you what else needs to be done to ensure no problems from this down the road with more power and better fuel milege.

From what I have read on here, to avoid problems with just unplugging it, pdi has a tune that takes the egr out of the ecm to begin with, no more problems at all, I can't remember the things that go wrong with unplugging only, but it was more than just a few things, one guy got away with it, 5 guys said worked for a while then all sorts of issues. Call pdi and get it done right the first time. Think about it, better milege, no problems and a motor that will make you think your in a friggin cat.

I've owned nothing but Cummins all my life until my ISX rebuilt it the 1st time @ 549,099 mi. ($19,000 american) that same motor came apart bigtime 312,000 mi later, broken crank, broken block cracked head a crate motor with 1 year warranty was 30,000 for the part only no labor to install it. I reluctantly bought a Acert cat powered truck to replace it and have not been sorry yet. I've got my mpgs up to about 6.2 and I'm pretty sure there is a little more in it. My advise (for what its worth,I'm no expert just sharing my expierience)stay away from Cummins they are way over-priced (parts and labor) and it has gotten worse since Cat stopped producing class 8 engines.

Never heard of a Cummings. But Cat killing ISX Cummins is like bigfoot, people claim they exist but no one seems to have one.:biggrin_25525:
