image.jpg image.jpg Ok I feel stupid, hopefully a better bolt guy can help me. I’ve tried finding it in the manual, but no joy!

I’m cold and parked for the night. I want heat.

now, I know I have an auto idle option, and if I understand it properly:

turn the key to the LEFT
Hold the auto switch up for 3 seconds
A message pops up on the dash saying auto idle engaged blah blah.

Now, for heat in the bunk:

I’ve got the temperature knob turned all the way to 84 up front, I have the rear button selected on the knob button up front

in the back, I have the fan turned to 4, and the comfort control turned all the way to hot.

I even turned on this little box above the sleeper temperature control that says heater enameled 85F

but everything is still blowing cold air.

    where am I going wrong!

So you have Espar , that should run by its self have you tried turning the key off and running Espar alone.
You can hear it ehen it kicks in it runs off fuel in your tanks.

Does your truck have manual valves in the heater lines? If so there will be usually 2 valves up beside the engine in the coolant lines that go to the heater core.

I'd say the espar might need to be fixed. Just had to get a new one put on my 10 month old truck. Ridiculous.

Ok let me clarify so we trouble shoot this properly:

the heat works up front, it just takes FOREVER.

o have officially figured out the little heater unit for the back, it just takes forever to actually get going.

If I turn the key off, it seems to only power the 12v outlets, Qualcomm, and the heater under the bunk. If I want radio or anything like that I have to have the key in accessory mode.

Fan and temp knobs are only for when the engine is running.

Turn everything else off, turn the espar on and set it to a temp that's comfortable. It will take a little while, but it will work. Set it too high, and you'll wake up in a pool of sweat.

Ok so that’s why I woke up freezing to death this morning.

    so to confirm:

    key off
    Espar on
    Heater under the bunk on
    Regular heating cooling off

Were you at Yelloknife, man I hope so all these new fangled do dads now Jeez Louise , we used to break a yard stick in half and jam it under the dash on the fuel pedal.
