It’s too hot. In MO, OK, AR, TX a lot right now and the heat is getting to me. Making me have a bad work ethic. Not like me. My company truck with APU powered AC cannot make it cool enough. I’m gonna snap on somebody soon..![]()

I never know about ya Cat, not sure if serious or trolling but I've lived in Texas my entire life and for the life of me I still haven't gotten "used" to the heat. #### is for the birds and I swear when I strap down a load in a quarry, it's a good 10-15 degrees hotter standing out there throwing chains. The sun just BEAMS on ya and there's not a tree in sight in the securement area. Can't even step outside the cab without shades on, without squinting and looking like I'm Asian because the sun beams off all that sand and rock that's on the ground and all around you.

The idle shuts off after 2-3 mins. I’ve tried everything people recommend, including only setting trailer brake, I’ve tried pushing down on the pedal with an object. The idle automatically shuts down. The Bunk AC does work better with the curtains shut u are right. But I’m currently waiting at a delivery absolutely filthy and I still have work to do. So I have to sit in these clothes and I’m not gonna go lay on the bunk where the AC is best and make everything gritty and dirty.
The outdoor work I have to do like securement and tarp are miserable in this 100 degree heat. That’s getting old. I’m m thinking about a hotel room tonight with a swimming pool. On my own dime. It’s all I can think about.filltheneed, singlescrewshaker, BillStep and 8 others Thank this. -
I run Ohio and PA and 95 and humid....flatbed so super sweaty...AC comes and goes depending on the year and how much I care. I don't have it right now.
I like to get through it with tons of water and by remembering that we only get 30-45 days of hot hot weather around here usually...60 at most!!Highway Sailor and IluvCATS Thank this. -

If you have the curtains that cover the windshield use them... They help keep a lot of that heat out... If you don't have windshield curtains then go buy one of those reflective things put in their windshields to keep the sun and heat out... I'm telling you it will help ALOT!
First thing I do if I'm stopping for more than an hour is pull my windshield curtains and just leave the drivers side window not covered if I new to be available for something... Then I can sit in the shaded AC and wait for whatever I need to wait for.Highway Sailor, Randy367, Lepton1 and 3 others Thank this.
