It didn't work out for me the first time. Will it workout if I try again?

Sure sounds like what my husband went through with usa truck. Note to new drivers don't ever tell your trainer that he stinks! It didn't work out cause he was going for his millionmile thing and he didn't care about training at all. Wish trainers would realize how much that they influence the new guys. It burned my husband out and now he doesn't want to dive at all. Thank you Mr. Stinky at USA trucks.

Don't really agree with trainers causing trainees to leave the profession. We are all adults when we are able to choose trucking as a career , maybe some are just 21 , maybe some are 61 , but all ADULTS. Now ............If an adult , man/woman makes the choice to pursue driving as a job/career , then they make a commitment to themselves , not only in time and money but also in their minds. Being successful in ANY career takes sacrifices. Some are harder than others, but they are still very much there.

Once a person has decided to drive for a living and gets hired to train , then the test begins. Now , granted some companies are far better at getting drivers trained than others but that is what it is. If a trainee gets hold of a trainer that is only in it to make more cash, that will soon be very , very evident. If a trainee gets hold of a sleazy , nasty, dirty , individual.....likewise. The trainee needs to realize that the trainer IS in charge...but only of the truck...not of the trainees life....don't let a trainer tell you..... you can't/don't have time to bathe/eat/take a restroom break. Put your big boy/girl pants on , and just let the trainer know AND understand that you are a human being and some things are just not acceptable. This may cause you a problem or 2 to begin with, but once these folks see that you WILL stand up for yourself...they WILL BACK OFF. Don't be BULLIED....
