I booked 2 loads yesterday on my usual roundtrip route. One load I got 6% more, the other 14% more because I brought up the ELD mandate.

Maybe it's just an anomaly, but I'll take it ;-)

Parking was plentiful at 1900 at the Aurora Rest Area south of Portland.

That Lodi, CA truckstop cluster has been a cluster muck for years and years. I don't even try to find a spot there after 1600 anymore.

    Anyways, cheers!

No, no, no. You can't go to Oregon. The nay sayers will demonize you for paying the $58 road tax to get to Portland, even though you may have made a few Gs on the load.
    What are you thinking?

Well I'm delivering now, then one more in the morning, then I'm going to leave ya'll to it for a week or 10 days or so.

So that will free up some freight, and one unpaid parking spot lmfao. And I can say I'm standing with my brothers against the government lol lol lol.

Thanks for the immoral support ;-)

I'll be home on Friday night and off through Christmas. Think as long as the weather is still decent I'll do one more roundtrip before the end of the year.

All my fixed costs are covered through March. My insurance is paid in full for 2018. My tags are paid. My quarterly taxes are paid. My house payment is paid into March. Plus I have a nice healthy chunk of cash in the bank.

This year has been a very good year for me and I'm a very grateful recipient to the Lord above.

How does driving 36 hrs straight = killing an entire family?

Are you trying to say that only drivers who run illegal end up in accidents?

Would you be surprised to find out that plenty of 30yr veteran o/os who run illegal as $@#! have accident free driving histories?

And the guy who's been driving 1-2 years, you know, the guy who can't even back straight up into a parking spot, the guy who doesn't have but 1, or 2, winters under his belt, the guy who hasn't ever driven NYC, the guy who only goes to big distribution centers, the guy who tailgates like a b!$#, the guy who cut off other speed limited trucks, because the same kinda guy is driving a speed limited truck like he does, and both of them are too stupid to understand what a safe following distance/passing maneuver is....

    Those guys?

Lack of experience, coupled with poor driving habits, that are ingrained into them through speed limited trucks...

    Are what cause accidents.
