I wish I could piece out LTLs......

They're like one in LA going to Denver for today....San Diego to Atlanta on Thurs.....Then one in SF/Oakland area going to Des Moines on Friday.....Kinda hard to piece that together.....Looks like a "Frankenstein Load"....

Did you ever look at Amazon's online used bookstore and see all those books people were posting for sale priced at .01?
Wonder why? Well they had used books to sale for $5, it didn't move. So they quickly lower and keep lowering the price until finally it was as low as could be posted at 1 penny. But, they forgot it would cost them $2 postage, plus packaging supplies, and the time to take the book down to the post office. All this just to beat out the other guy and to keep moving old books off the shelves and for 1 cent... Kinda reminds me of trucking.

By the way, there are some great deals on used books ... and shipping too for that matter.

Cali sure is tough right now. Think it's time to turn the trucks east.

I was offered an OD load to Denver....But I don't relish the idea having to sit in Grand JCT. until Saturday.....

You see.....CO has a thing about permitted loads not running during "Weather Events".....:biggrin_2552:

It is slow. The Midwest was hit first. Of course the southwest wasn't far behind. These areas started slowing back in October. Texas hit a slow patch in November. Yes sir, its slow for sure. Maybe it will jump out again in January like this year.

Yep, but better to park the truck at home and dabble in side jobs, rather than out running circles and pulling your hair out.

My truck has been parked for 2 weeks, it may be parked for 3 or 4 more. No truck payments for me, but no free freight hauling on my back either.

    MJ1657 and GITRDUN45 Thank this.
