Either he got ripped off or I got one heck of a deal....I only paid $3.50/box when I bought 6 boxes earlier this week....if I had a bigger freezer to keep 'em in, I would have bought more. They are expensive (as far as cookies go), but they taste pretty good & go towards a good cause, so I don't mind.
It's called a Headlight. You need two...

The ticket is the easy part. The CSA points, not so much.

A few bad apples . . . Seems like more than a few sometimes.
Most drivers would thank you and fix the light.
At least you know that you did the right thing, even if he didn't. -
I don't understand that mentality. If its an easy fix on my truck, I fix it and give the boss my receipt. On my truck I have fixed the following that would have caused me problems down the line.
2 trailer taillamps
1 trailer mudflap
Replaced the pigtails on the tractor taillamps
Front turn signal bulbs
Emergency system air line hose to trailer
Replaced shorting plug for refrigerator hookup -
You let him know at the fuel island, the second time is beating a dead horse. I would just mind my own bussiness, and let him go his own way. You concerns are well intended, and seems like you do a good job at running your truck legal, at any cost, which is good. Keep up the good work.
Licensed to kill and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
And this is why I don't tell anybody anything. Its every man for himself. Got tired of the stoopid looks.
Raiderfanatic Thanks this. -
And unless you're an OO, the company will reimburse which is why I don't even think twice about fixing things out of pocket if needed...

Why does he need to buy a headlight, he can just run it with his highbeams on and then both will work LOL !!!!!
I hate people who do that, especially four wheelersRaiderfanatic Thanks this. -
We could do another thread, "It's called a screwdriver!"
For drivers that insist that "factory" settings are correct height.SHC Thanks this. -
As for the $4 cookies, they were higher there. I got some at home from a friends daughter for the $3.50 price. I think Petro probably told the Girl Scouts if they were to sell them at the truck stop they have to jack the price up.
The second time in the restaurant when the headlight thing came up was in a most sarcastic tone. In fact, it was more me making him the butt of the joke.
I'll always tell a guy one of his lights are out. Ask if a driver is OK when he's on the side of the road. Offer help if they look like they need it. Sometimes it amazes me the responses I get. But then again, I'm old school. I remember how guys told me how bad trucking was when I started as compared to the "Good ole days". That was 16 years ago. And now when I think of when I started compared to today, that seems like my "Good ole days". Makes me shudder to think what will be of trucking in 16 more years.Dino1968 Thanks this.
