My new Wilson combo step deck showed up the other day! I thought a few of you might get a kick out of it so I wanted to share a few pics.

Nothing too crazy, but with a few bells and whistles. Rear lift axle, some extra lights down each side, lots of winches, stake pockets, etc. Some other small details I laid awake thinking about for many nights. I went with a Chameleon top kit which will be installed next month...... so I'll have some more pics to follow. Until then...

    Thanks guys,

I originally was going to spec a Reitnouer to replace the company one I've been pulling a while, but came to learn they were 7-8 months out. The closest dealer is practically 3 days away, and being a regional guy, didnt want the headache of that.

Before getting to know the Bigger Bubba, I pulled a few Wilson combo units and was really happy with them. I was impressed with how well they stood up and still looked after being hammered on for years of hard use so I figured I'd try one of them out instead. The company I'm leased to has a great relationship with the local dealer so it made sense to start there. Wilson's options and tolerance to my nitpicking was impressive, so I never bothered looking elsewhere. Then it showed up 6 weeks later (to be fair, the dealer bumped a stock order spot to get it here in time to feature in an upcoming show before I take delivery) It's going to drive me nuts waiting that long now that its here

Those mudflaps before the landing gear are interesting?

Help prevent road spray in winter to the underside I guess or just a look deal?

Yup pretty much. I'm hoping they keep a lot of sand and winter crap out from the rails. Also to protect the landing gear and valve and gauge boxes which are right in front of the left side tool box. Also have some flaps ahead of the first axle inside the frame to hopefully do the same for the brake pots and everybody else under there.

I’m in the market for a new 48 flat and honestly I don’t get the whole reitnour thing. I’m not impressed by it or the Mac.

Your step deck looks fantastic though. The mudflaps in the front make a nice touch.

Looking good. We bought our 1st Wilson Road Brute combo step in 2008. Then another in 2012 and a third in 2018. They hold up well.

What’s the distance from KP to center of rear axle?

Thanks ! To be honest, the only reason a Reitnouer was my first choice is because of the load stands they have. I like being able to snap the 2 pieces together and lock in to the side rail - was a nice lil time saver vs traditional chain down stands.

Thanks, and that's good to hear! Kingpin to center of rear axle is 46 feet
