HP doesn’t get you speed by itself. 3.70’s and a 13 even on tall 24’s won’t get you there.

As clean as you think the truck is it’s not. New paint is there to hide something. It’s been Earl Shived at best. If the mechanic was impressed with what he seen first hand that a few minutes of looking at pics have discovered…..get him a seeing eye dog and a check for being blind started. If it’s had the top redone and set that hot the bottom will never stay together long. The rings are going to be under a lot of pressure trying to seal. Just facts. Look under that fifth wheel slide you’ll find more rust than you care to see.

What’s that between the fifth wheel and frame that looks all flakey and scaly. You don’t even have to blow the one pic up to see it. If it’s that bad there it’s in other places.

Aluminum doesn’t rust it will however get a cancer in the form of corrosion. 9 outta 10 older trucks painted have some of it somewhere. There is no getting rid it except replacing that piece or pieces with new. It always comes back hopefully you’re lucky. You don’t have to convince me how clean it is, just yourself and you’ve done a good job of that.

I suggest he buy it. It's nothing to operate a old truck. I run a 23 yearold truck. No big deal. Just gonna say driving is the easiest part of truck ownership. Everyone should buy a truck.

Yes indeed. And then come back here after 6 months or a year and let us know how things are going.

Just managed to get all of these... I have more before pictures prior to many changes I uploaded previously.

I guess worst case Scenario from this point forward I can prepare for a full Outta Frame Engine Over Haul with new everything just to prepare and be ready for it. When I say new Everything, I mean it...... Down to the Washer.. ;)
    All New AC Lines
    New Transmission.....
    Tear open the Rear Dif.
I reckon after all that, I will strip all the interior, Seal up the Cab if needed and add insulation and new Interior.... May throw an APU on it as well.

Then more Lights, Front Air Ride, Bumper Lift Kit etc..

I do need to pop the dent out of that fuel tank, its driving my OCD Nuts.

    See you soon.

Better get you some good lanes to run! Or fertilize the money tree. Just the APU will rock you considerably. Especially if you have to add averything if it never had 1

FYI. A standard APU will not cool that huge cab. It will be a waste of money. There are much better and cheaper DIY options.

No, in Mack's School of Trucking ownership LLC. We recommend purchase the second truck at 6mo/1year. Put a driver in it and make big money.

Being a truck mechanic 16 years before my 10 years as a independent owner op. Still wrenching total of 26 years. I'll say this, my 23 yearold truck has about broke me a few times. I've done 99% of my own work. I would have been broke if not. Still not interested in doing it a different way. But I question myself alot! I would never, ever give 80k for a 25k truck. Don't care if people are paying it. They ain't worth it.
