Personal attack? yea I'm not the one who told the OP not to sweat a death in the family if it was not a immediate family member.:biggrin_25526:

LOL,Of course companies are going to make you pay if you damage their own equipment,LOL.That would be like someone using your car and something happens and it's their fault, would'nt you exspect him to pay for it?Also why would'nt you report it,do you think they're not going to find out?

I would say alot of drivers do research but don't find the real deal till a month later. Then certain companies have a real bad rep and applicants know this but yet still go there. Some are just a glutton for punishment.

I just did a check. 340 trucks 347 drivers. 34,229,661 miles loged in 2010. 393 trucks inspected 44 of then out of servbice thats over 10%. 938 drivers checked and 22 of them put out of service. that about 2%. so there you go. small company. need every driver working to make end meet.

So your logic is, any death of a family member, regardless of how remote. Is a legitimate day to miss?

    Typical.

My truck is a 2004. It's older. My company would rather take the money from paying for a brand new truck and put it on my settlement. Forget a new truck. I'll take the pay.

True, but it can be difficult separating the myths from reality.

The company I work for now. Is one I had listened to the myths for so long. I swore I would never work for them.

Unless something goes severely wrong. I suspect I'll retire here.

Although many times it's a drivers personal needs/requirements that lead to a "bad" label being put on a company.

Even the best company can be considered a POS to a driver.

A company is made up of individuals. It is no better or worse than the people who work for it.

I have as much knowledge of how immediate the family member is as you. But unlike you, I am not speculating, but would hazard a guess and put forth that it was not a second cousin. Now own your posting failure, that would be the logical thing to do. :biggrin_25525:
