In three years or so, you'll be making the same $$$ as the guy who's been doing the job for 50 years.
There's no cost-of-living raises, no seniority, no overtime, and the bennies are terrible.
If you somehow stick around long enough to get to the top of the pay-scale (after 10 years at most outfits), they'll starve you out so they can put a greenhorn fresh out of trucking school in your seat for .25 cpm.
FACT: the last time that driver wages kept pace with inflation was 1982.
