Nothing yet. He's got a phone interview with his recruiter again tomorrow. We are hoping because I really don't want him staying where he is. He's gone, on average, 5-7 weeks straight right now and the kids and I miss him. We want him home more. Our oldest daughter (14) had a paper for school to answer some questions about herself and one of those questions was who does she live with. She just said mom. I said, "What about your dad?" Her response was that he doesn't really live with us anymore.... :-(

Trucking is hard on a family. Not no where near as hard as the military but sometimes I question that because in the military it's a constant being gone for the most part and with trucking it's gone then home then gone again.

The best thing about choice is I go home weekly and that's the only thing keeping me from just going somewhere else.

I don't like the new contract however hometime is the most important to me so unless it affects my hometime I can probably adjust.

I wish him luck and if he comes aboard home time will improve.

    Stay Strong.

And facetime can help with the kids.

Yeah, we are hoping that he'll be able to get home a few times throughout the week, but at least once a week would be nice. We live just outside of the DFW, so he shouldn't have a problem finding freight that till get him through the house when needed.

I will say this... Being you live around DFW he should be able to get home quite frequently... That should be no issue at all

    RStewart and gjcarr03 Thank this.

I would have to agree with the other folks who advised staying where you are. A job making what you're making is hard to come by.
