Ive got a Bendix air compressor on a Detroit 12.7. All the videos I watch tell me to look for 3 screws on top of the compressor for the unloader valve..... Im not seeing it? Is the unloader valve this....pic coming up....
And to replace it is it just a screw off screw on kinda deal? I assume after letting all the air out of the system first.....
Ive searched the forums....Unloader valve.

That’s the pop off valve. It’s to keep the pressure from getting to high.
Unloader is to put air in tanks.
What problem are you having?nikmirbre Thanks this. -
Right before the air dryer spits at 125 psi.... I can hear air leaking from somewhere. I cannot tell exactly where its coming from. Or ill hear kinda do 3 lil spits.... like tsss tsss tsss..... its hard to explain LOL. I watched a couple bendix videos on YouTube, maybe I'm not using the correct terminology. Back a few months ago I did have to go stick a small screwdriver to get the purge valve unstuck one very cold morning. Other than than no issues.

It could be that pop off valve, but my guess is something with the dryer.

the two oval plates held in with two screws a piece is where you will find the unloaded valves6wheeler, Dino soar, spsauerland and 3 others Thank this. -
From your picture it looks like they could be hidden under the hoses...
nikmirbre Thanks this. -
Unloader valve or valves, depending on compressor are in the compressor head. They are spring loaded valves, that open and close on signal from the air governor. When compressed air isn't needed they open and the compressor does not build pressure.
Dino soar, SAR, Deere hunter and 2 others Thank this.
