I think truck part supply houses like Fleet Pride sell the air dryer purge kits also.
It’s been some years but I believe at one time there were a few YouTube videos on purge valve replacement.nikmirbre Thanks this. -

Ok 1st 2 pics is before I touched anything.
3rd is after removing the spring being held by those 4 bolts.
Last picture is new purge valve....
does that bolt in the middle come off? It seems to just turn and turn -
Well I did change the governor and ive been sitting here idling for the past 30 minutes and now its not doing it. I thought the symptoms of a bad governor was that I wouldn't be able to build air?

In answer to my question in post number 24, it looks like that black top of the dryer needs to come off in order for that bolt on the bottom to be removed?
-
You have to pull the snap ring out to allow the valve to come out.
nikmirbre Thanks this. -

Im just getting around to changing the unloaded valves. Just to be sure I’m gonna do it right, I’m gonna change both valves. I drain all the air from the system first? Do I need to disconnect the batteries?Hulld Thanks this.

Not a bad idea to drain the air off.
Should not need to disconnect batteries unless you have some sort of electrical cables that need to be disturbed in the area you are working.
