What are the pros and cons with using j plates and chain hooks? I've always gone to the spools for everything. However, my company is buying new all aluminum great Danes and I know they have the j plates and am not sure about any chain pop ups. Hurst do you have a pic of the pop ups?

Pop ups look nice to have but I'm pretty sure our new trailers don't have them

Having J-hooks and hauling steel in a covered wagon are the best thing since sliced bread. I haul so many different configurations of steel the J-hooks allow me to secure the load anywhere safety on the deck. I think it just takes time, like anything else. I hated my covered wagon at fist, but after using it for a month or so I wouldn't haul steel with out it. IMO.

Anytime I ever tried to use a pull up chain it is always twisted in a knot and you end up with only half a link above the deck.
