I worked for Schugel in 2011. I liked them. They were friendly, usually helpful. They pay is low for experienced drivers, but if that is something you cannot work with, I guess move along. I had a decent truck, APU, and my dispatcher kept me busy. Minded, I run as hard as I can legally. Schugel is big on being legal these days.
I pulled a refer. I personally did not like the refer, but that is just me. All in all Schugel is a decent outfit. Every company is the country is gonna have crap its good and bad. It really is about letting the small stuff roll off your back.
If you have any specific questions, I can try to answer them.

They start all drivers at .36 per mile for all dispatched miles over 351 miles with a 1/2 increase every 6 months up to .42 per mile. They have short haul rates up to .45 per mile for runs below 351 miles.
But in reality at 6 months experience is .36 that bad? There are outfits here at home that only pay van/refer drivers .30-.32 so it is up to you what you consider low.

When I was there, .10 cents per mile was per diem (untaxed) so you taxed income is .26 per mile. Some people do not like that either.

I personally like that they are up front on the pay. I get leery of any company that doesn't list their pay or pay scale on their website.

    BossOutlaw88 Thanks this.
