Rumor on the street is Cooper lost all Ford traffic. Supposedly Cassens got it all in Louisville.

Given a lot of the junk they are now selling....the recalls they are having....& the beyond-insane prices they are asking for said junk....FORD may soon lose their own "traffic"....

I wouldn’t count on that. Whether you like Ford vehicles or not they are still a solid company with generally reliable products. Nothing is cheap anymore, but most things are relative.

And yet they also have one of the highest if not the highest recall rate and have consistantly been #1 over all time. Ford are overpriced junk riding on whatever good rep they had left. Granted the others arent a hell of a lot BETTER so its like calling a gapeing chest wound better then death. But thats the facts. Also doesnt help ford is moving to "cars as a service" i.e car subscription services and data mineing vs car ownership.

I don’t currently drive a Ford but have driven the F@@@ out of 3 F-150’s but that has nothing to do with my post or your reply.

Where is Cassens getting the capacity? Did they lose freight somewhere else?

Just based on miles and road grime, it seems a lot of the shuttle moves are already getting done by the grandpa brigade. It's getting frustrating as hell to have to inspect a unit with as many as 100 public road miles on it as a new vehicle.

In Louisville they will get the Jack Cooper drivers who will follow their work. I am not sure where they will come up with that many rigs. For the longest time many of the units made at KTP were shuttled/driven all over Ky or Southern Indiana to be stored before being shipped.

The Dearborn units were the worst, based on the mileage some of them made five trips from the plant over the Flat Rock for storage when they were having Parts issues

When I hauled out of Dearborn they drove them all over town and we hauled them from 4 or 5 different lots.
