I have a 1998 Detroit Diesel engine 60's series on a 1999 Freightliner Century class truck. I had to replace the starter (Delco Remy, 42MT with 39MT). After replacing the starter, the jake brakes do not engage (work) anymore and I get a check engine light on along with 2 dash errors saying something about "driver aux" being out. I don't have the exact error message right now. The mechanic triple checked the wiring and he swears everything was connected correctly, but something must have happened with the wiring, since Jake brakes worked before the starter replacement. This has happened before when I had a starter replaced by PETRO, but I do not know how they fixed it later on.
