Yeah, this guy was all super-truckered out. Had his FTL Classic all done up with 8" straights, every light was an LED with a few extras. I figured to see some young punk like me hop out but this guy was in his 50's with the sleeveless tshirt and trucker cap. I thought it was funny.

I won't use them at all. Only when I start rolling down a mountain. I've seen people with them on while on ice and snow. That's scary. Especially when they are in the show off lane. Right next to you.

I know what you mean. I turn mine off in icy conditions. I just drive a little slower.

It is actually safer to use your jakes on icy roads rather than your brakes, especially when you are empty. You just have to know HOW to use them properly.

I keep my jake on most of the time while moving, but I do make a conscious effort to turn it off when going into a rest area or getting off an exit especially when there is a truck stop near by. Whether its day or night. One truck might not make a difference if 10 others follow with jakes on, but maybe it will catch on to someone. ::shrug::

What do you mean? Its not like im going directly from go pedal to brake to get the Jake going.

I keep my foot on the clutch pedal to keep the Jake from activating until I slow down a little more. I wasn't raised in a barn
