Hey jeep, sure do appreciate the updates
I am going to wisconsin for training on feb 16th
I am a little nervous because the economy sure isnt looking so hot and doesnt seem as though its going to turn around anytime soon so I hope feb 16th will still happen
Im checking this site daily in hopes of not heaing bad news
I ake it your training in georgia.
Are you planning on driving over the road or regional with millis or are you not given a choice?
personally I want over the road and dont really have to run home for anything other than a funeral if one should arise
my kids are in college and me and the wife ..well lets just say we have been together for a long time dont run through fields with outstretched arms toward each other in slow motion ( if you can put that mental image together)
I have wanted to run over the road since my days working with bands in the 80's when all of a sudden kids came along and lots of home resonsibilities
    my day is finally here!!
I actually wish millis ran more out west then they do but after doing loads of research and talking to people I made my decision to come here and if it all works out I am a creature of habit and comfort and dont like to move around much so if things work out right i can see myself being here for a long time
i am not crazy about the pet policy and would sooner give up a rider then a dog but being a noob im hardly in a position to make demands
ok jeep again thanks for getting back to us, the millis boards have been a little quiet lately so i am glad at least your coming back to give us updates
please keep them coming ...you do have interested readers
    take care
    chris

Hey swiss good luck on Feb 16 !!! You will have Harold as an instructor he is a good guy and knows his stuff !! He taught us for a few days here in Ga. The Millis drivers I have talked to say freight is busy up north so you should be ok. Yes I am planning on going OTR and if im not mistaking everyone starts OTR but I prefer a dedicated or south east regional but no biggie. The white Freightliners you see in my pictures are regional and dedicated trucks and the Maroon looking Cascadia's and KW's are OTR. But like I said in my first update our hotel does not have internet so I will just have to update it on weekends until my verizon wireless air card comes in. Again good luck to you and everyone else attending school in the upcoming months/weeks !

hey jeep thanks again for getting back to me/us
maybe we should be quiet about busy freight otherwise millis might get bombarded cuz from the way it sounds alot of guys cant get loads
i am very excited about all this and been dying to get back out on the road
i already have an aircard on my laptop so ill be able to communicate throughout the whole process
i have a very good friend from switzerland that lives about an hour away from the millis terminal up there in wisc. so itll be fun to go up there and have a place to run off to over the weekends ( if time allows for that )\i am 100% dedicated to this change in life though and it is my absolute priority
anything after that is just gravy
good luck to you jeep and ill see you out there soon
when you guys passed that jb truck in the ditch i guess the traiiner was able to say..."this is what you dont want to do " right?
    peace

    ANewTruckerOf09,
I don't know if they have any openings or not. The quicker you get your $100 in, the quicker you can get in class.

When did you apply? When did you find out that you were accepted? Was it by mail or did you call them to find out the status of your application?

I applied on January 11th and haven't heard anything yet.
