You still use your license until you get your cdl. If you are in school and driving on the street, you are required, to have your permit and medical card with you at all times. Having those things in your car, while you are out in the truck does not count. Also, whatever school you go to, the instructors should check that you have them, and make sure you all realize that you can not leave the yard without them.
When, filling out an application, if you have any questions at all, ask about it. As you all are finding out by reading on here, mistakes and/or omisions can be fatal. It's up to you to ask and fill it out correctly. When filling out an application please realize that there are hundreds of others who are trying to get those jobs too. Which application is going to be accepted? The one that is not correct or the one that is?

yes this is true BUT my licence has NEVER been suspended. When Georgia suspended my CDL's I did not even have a CDL in 2006/2007 when this took into effect. I dont see the problem why Millis nor their insurrance company wouldnt look at me. It would be a different story if I had my CDL's at the time but I did not. I guess its a way to Georgia to punish folks like myself even more for speeding and other violations but I dont have no one to blame but myself for the tickets.

Wow, had to go back a few pages and re-read this, its a bit confusing...:smt017 You mentioned previously you had tickets and suspensions.
Like 4eagles said, doesnt matter if you had a cdl then or not.

They ask those type questions on the app, to weed out the people they cannot hire because of policy..... nothing personal. A lot of it has to do with rules put down by insurance companies. Doesn't matter that you didnt have your cdl back in 06/07.

I am guessing if you would have put on the app you had a suspension, they (Millis) would have never brought on.
    Just a bummer all around.

Yes I have 2 speeding tickets on my 5 year MVR and 1 on my 3 year. Also have a suspension for a CDL which I did not have a cdl like you have read above.

Sense I did not have a CDL at the time I thought everything was good ( including ) millis. Yes in deed a bummer yes it broke my heart lol but life goes on and Im looking around to find something else. Guess I didnt have my ducks in a row like I thought I did. But I am calling Mike Millis in the morning and talking with him. I have not got a final yes or no if I can work with them or not seeing if I can get some info out of him.......

sorry for not updating I have forgot !! Well millis did not let me drive. I got a letter in the mail wanting me to pay back for the school. I said HELL NO. I wouldnt pay that if my life depended on it. Called mike millis and got it covered. I dont have to pay it. Its my fault that the way my MVR is but not my fauly Millis wont spend a few dollars to get a MVR and check everyone out and I think he realized that. Mike Millis is a good guy I dont blaim him one bit but im just glad we got everything took care of.

Good luck to anyone an employee at Millis and good luck to future students !!! For the guys that graduated on 1-28-09 best of luck to you !!!

The way you handled this unfortunate episode, you are wise beyond your years jeep. I imagine you will land on your feet no matter. Thanks for the update.:headbang:
