I know several people making 1100+ on intermodal out of st Louis, its just the matter of how you work.

They lied to me as well recruiter says they pay hub mi that's a lie and they got ya home on weekend doing intermodal that was a lie but overall they didn't seem bad it's like any big company micromanage pretty hard but when you have 10000 trucks you better keep a eye on them i its all in what you want and your capable of doing I've learned sometimes recruiters like to leave some things out there's a lot worse than Jb out there

I live in the middle between Chicago and Milwaukee and ran the Wisconsin board. Once in a while they sent me to Iowa. Once you learn the railyards it is pretty easy work. Sometimes your unit is buried and you need to move 3 or 4 units to get to yours. Sometimes the pins won't lock. A few things you will learn to correct that. Scale anything over 30,000. They pay for it. You will need a push broom, dust pan (don't sweep a unit and leave debris on customer's lot), 30 - 36 inch crowbar, 2 lb sledge hammer, good flashlight, bolt cutter, bag of long zip ties, WD40, plier set with cutters, and a couple of screwdrivers. You drive some of the best equipment on the road, great benefits and decent pay. I liked it. I wish you well.

I have almost 10 yrs running rail yards in Chicago just not for JB Hunt. Where did you scale the loads coming out of the rails in Chicago? I use to use the Citgo whse on cicero ave.

Either Citgo on Cicero or the Cat Scale in Bolingbrook

Did you have a load that you couldn't get legal and if so what do they do with them?

With JB Hunt you take the load to the Chicago terminal and usually drop it in the yard. Put the BOL and weigh ticket in the bill box, inform dispatch you dropped and they find you another load. Don't be surprised if they tell you to take an empty to Green Bay to drop and hook. I never waited long for a new dispatch, maybe 15 minutes.

I should add that if you leave a customer and weigh and there is a problem you notify JB Hunt and they advise you. You almost always have the customer rework the load.
