    @RERM

    this guy a company driver ?? think our company is giving free paid health insurance upto a certain amount (first $300 is covered .. the rest is on you). but prob jb hunt must offer better insurance i'd ASSUME ???

    i have a few friends who work at jb hunt. pretty much all they do is cross towns .. rail to rail with their own 53 ft jb hunt containers and some local work... that's pretty much about it.. nothing too fancy. they're happy with it ... $1,700-$1,800 take home pay and thats about it max... but it suits them and they have no issues with it . company drivers do the same work but obviously company driver pay... probably $600 to $800 a week net. fairly easy intermodal gig at jb hunt as far as im concerned.

    Yes, what do you expect bro. there's not much freight to go around when you work for such a big mega carrier company esp with intermodal. it sounds funny buy this is the truth. when the dispatcher gives you 8-10 crosstowns to do from rail to rail in a 12 hr period.. at $45-50 a peice.. do the math. plus, they are elog and well, they need to spread the work around. plus it is cheap work... but EASY work i suppose.

    10 moves x 50 = 500 x5= 2500 plus fuel surcharge is pretty fair to me heard u get discount on fuel tires etc 401 k health ins pretty much the best sounding for o/o in rails to me and every rail except Union pathetic is basically loaded with trailers

    Yeah, like i said - money isnt all that best but considering the amount of easiness.. it's ok. I have a few friends who work there and they see a check over $2,200 once in blue moon. Otherwise - it fluctuates between $1,700 to $1,900. JB isnt your typical local family outfit. It's a mega but with an intermodal divison! If it works for you then why not!?

    @Trubb43 - there's no fuel surcharge on crosstowns. it's a flat rate. so when all said and done, after deductions and what not, you'll make your 1,900 to 2,000. My guys that work there very SELDOM do local or regional work. Remember, BNSF Corwith and Cicero work the biggest JB hunt account so most of their freight comes out from there. They just crosstown it to their respective rails.

    @4noReason - half your family works there lmao, they all went from all points to jb hunt. smh!

    @RERM - i have no clue bro, i really dont !!!!
