I dunno about you bro but I prefer regional over local. But I dont mind local. But it seems like the last two months... all it's been is local work which is pretty cool. Less diesel, same amount of money made too as to doing regional. But regional.. ya just pickup and gooo.. hit the rails once if not maybe twice SOMETIMES.

Personally, I prefer local (same take home as regional due to WAY less diesel)...I don't mind Chicago traffic...it really ain't as bad as other Metro areas (Atlanta and Dallas come to mind!!!)

And, yeah, thank GOD we don't do UP's yards (for the most part)...had enough of Union Pacific employees!!!!

The thing is i like global 4. I hated g1 n g2. Mainly cuz its city area. But my main issue with kiswani is i dont understand how you flip or if we use the triaxle how to get the crane operator to grab our container. So much i didnt learn

How to use a tri axle:

    1. Hook up.
    2. Pre Trip
    3. Get to rail yard
    4. Drive over to flip crane give them the Ingate pass and wait for yard jockey to bring your box to crane.
    5. Wait till crane lifts box from rail chassis and puts it on tri axle.
    6. Close locking pins and zip tie them.
    7. Deliver at consignee.
    8. Rinse, repeat.....

    4. Might vary depending on rail ( CSX you go to flip booth, check in and THEN proceed).

Seriously dude, it ain't rocket science, in fact it's better than a drop and hook, you have a BRAND NEW, WELL MAINTAINED chassis behind you and if you get back to back runs all you end up doing is locking and unlocking pins.

....I love flatbedding, but until it pays a premium again for all the work you do, I'm sticking with containers.....
