Two guys I know who work for intermodal (two separate terminals and they don't know each other ) said they were told jb hunt is going to hourly in CA. Was just wondering if that's a CA thing or national

I was talking to a guy that drove for them while I was getting loaded the last time in SoCal. He told me they were getting hourly, but way too many guys screwed off so they did away with it. He said they get paid milage, drop, load, detention. Their detention for the local or intermodals would start almost when they hit the gate. He said equated to about $20/hr for the whole shabang. This was in February.

Intermodal used to do hourly but you're right, too many drivers would do one load and dissapear.

Detention doesn't start until 2 hours. That's the current setup
