Nope. I'm not a recruiter, just a driver.

I've never been big on watching post counts. But thanks for pointing it out. Back in 09, I found the forums, I posted a couple times over the years, but I recently got a tablet and rediscovered the forums thus my longevity and low post count.

I'll answer any questions good and bad about the company. Yes JB has it's faults just like any huge company, from night dispatchers who don't answer their phones, wknd dispatch who are so slow, you could sit for an hour waiting for a response message, how they don't want you to take the truck in for repairs unless it is DOT reportable (save the other stuff until your BService), or how in Chicago you can wait days for repairs, or you might have a week of live loads and only get 2000 miles, or that you might circle around a rail yard for an hour looking for a container that's not even there, and the beaucracy that JB is where it is easy for fall through the cracks, or it's, "here sign this and sign that". Yes, he might not get the same experience as mine, perhaps he gets a dispatcher who isn't the greatest and let's him sit idle for too long, or doesn't get along with, or has a truck that is high in the miles and is in the shop every week. It happens but it's how the OP handles or reacts to it that makes the difference. If he wants to talk about that, I'll do that too.

But the OP didn't ask about that stuff. I believe JB is a good company to work for and I make no bones about. I make good miles, have good home time, and have good benefits. If the OP can get a better job locally or wherever, great! The more power to him. But if he wants to come to JB, I'll he more than happy to answer his or any other's questions.

My guess is JB has wronged you one way or another which would explain the vitriol you have, but that is your burden to bear.

I do look for all pros and cons to the job. I've been training drivers for the past 2 years and I make sure they understand the "not so great parts". However the company I work for is a nationwide company and has a lot to offer. I have some drivers that stick around, then there are others that move on to something else. I don't mind the big company after all that is pretty much all I know. As long as I get decent family time, paid, well, good benefits, and equiptment then I can be happy. To tell you the truth the nationwide company that I work for now has only 2 real flaws that make me ready to leave, and they are that I have to unload every single box and run them down a ramp and they have drivecam. I don't like them watching me while I drive.

Ya I'm about to switch over to my wife's coverage it has a $100 dollar deductible andis only about $100 dollars a week for the whole family It puts most to shame. I think JB's is about a 1000 dollar deductable. I can't really see you making a ton of money at Jb. You probably do OK but you'll be starting at the bottom again with a company that will probably treat you like a two year old.

They're tons of jobs that don't require unloading every box on the trailer, but if working for big companies is all you know hey maybe it's fitting.

To be honest this whole thread sounds like a recruiting ploy with one dispatcher with 5 post and one recruiter with about 50.

If all you got to refute anything I said is to call the OP and me a dispatcher and a a recruiter, well that's that. If post count determines one's experience, so be it. But I am not new to forums and I know a troll when I see one.

    I don't play with trolls.

As some would say I just call em as I hear them. That's what it sounds like to me. Freights picking up, need some some extra money. What's do the recruiters get paid? About $5000 dollars for each driver.

Got no thanks there on that post. probably cause they didn't want to hear it.

The Op seems like another recruiter just wants to talk about the positives and only appreciates that according rather than somebody who is truly trying to help him.
Ya you seemed a little ungrateful to someone who was trying to help you, as you gave no thanks, as you did the other driver. But fall right in line with This other guy Who really could be baiting you. Sounds to me that you just want to just talk about the pro's. Look at my cookies.

got to be a recruiter. Let the drivers know on TTR what JB safety's looking for, after all it's worth 5 grand a driver if they get's hired.
