Pay runs from 50 to 80 k a year depending on what the driver wants the office people are easy to get along with the job is pretty easy . If you want more miles a quick phone call and they will have more loads to chose from or a lot of the guys will take 2 to 2.5 day long weekends . Im regional with them running a sleeper i do the same running lane every day my house at one end and the railyards at the other so its a family freindly job . Regional starts at 45 cpm goes to 49 cpm . With short haul pay breakdown and detention . Paid chasis moves . Mostly all drop and hook .Skipper2256 Thanks this.

this company as its up and down ...I'm currently employed with them as a local intermodal driver out of Harrisburg pa for 3 years before we use to do very good then we open chambersburg pa , muncy pa I believe Pittston pa or Allentown pa as a terminal now as well our miles cut down to much hassle at the rail finding your con # the more you get paid in miles the harder they try to make you job so basically its starting to get worst and worst here to much drivers little bit of work I'm at 45 cents miles weekend driver and sometime no work bc train delay ...talk about traffic now worst than ever pay not adding up I currently seeking a hourly job or dedicated route were pay guarantees ....working long hours for little bit of money you will make 55 to 58 k a year but when you divide your daily hours from what you made for the day you average about 18 or less hourly

what I'm saying is the truth we use to be a great company here but lately been going down the drain to much driver more terminals causing us to run less miles hassle at rail sometimes I run 180 miles 2 drop n hook and its 1500 I start at 0800 that's because all the hassle run around and delays detention doesn't begin until 1 hr and 30 mins by that time shipper or receiver already unload or load u .. cody1984 you need to be str8 up the company are hiring to much driver to handle the freight but not paying enough and its only getting worst your top miles pay is 46 and I surely know that you re struggling sometimes lets be honest we growing and it wil get worst if they don't start upping the pay and paying more delay time
RookieJ1987 Thanks this. -

J b hunt intermodal Harrisburg pa ... you will be loosing a lot of drivers because you are not treating the driver right we need congestion delay pay 81 north sucks with all the construction going on around that area 283 as got worst over the last 3 years 81 south exit 59 the split 581 is terrible traffic pattern changing badly causing us to spend more time 83 been terrible since I started but gotten worst now congestion begin from like 1630 until 1900 like really and now you guys open new terminals . I was told by a senior driver before j b hunt up the miles stop liveload and detention at customer ... they wil raise the pay but something will be cut off either your miles or lack of load don't get me wrong the loads are there but not grounded and when they do get grounded all the driver deliver them quick leaving some driver without delivers until the train comes again later so now they b.s us around for a 1 hr or 2 without no respond so we can wait but no pay until after an hour by the time you go to other rail yard check in check out its already 10 or 11 hours of work with little pay ....we need more delay pay better stop pay

Didn't all the JB hunt stuff get moved out of the Harrisburg ramp and over the the Rutherford one? Or vice versa? I know when I ran cans out of there, both for Marten (their own trailers) and straight can pulling for a small fleet owner leased onto Eagle Systems, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting JB Hunt in the Harrisburg ramp. And they all were running around the yard at warp speed. Drivers acted like coked out chihuahuas after a few pots of coffee.
But that was 7 years ago too.
I know one of the Marten drivers I ran with went to work for them and he liked it, didn't keep in touch with him though.
