That's not true. I neither train nor team and refuse to do either. I was "in the red" for exactly two weeks...the first two, but only because I put the truck in the shop on the first trip out then took a couple days off in the second week. Since then, I have not been "in the red." My business assets are much higher than my liabilities. I could park this truck for a month right now and still not be "in the red."

    It's called planning ahead.

But, then again, I'm not trying to work with JB.

I paid off my truck with JB in 3 years just fine.. Had no problem. As long as you know how to manage money you should not either. There are many drivers who paid off their trucks. You just have to want to do it and operate it as a business. The ones who fail typically have a company driver mentality and will not succeed as anO/O

I tried their lease program before a number of years ago. The problem was in those days you was paid by the mile and only got like 2,300 miles a week. So I was lucky if I cleared $250.00 a week.

You have to use an independent brokerage if you lease their equipment.

i was a trainer w/ werner in 2006,i was on track to net 60k that year, and it would of been my first full year with them, if you set aside the first 6 months as a trainee and solo. in total i was with them 1.5 years.

i think there were at least a few weeks where i had drivers that were doing great that needed no assistance, we were able to do near 7k miles per week (electronic logs)...in march of 06 if i remember correctly i gross'd near 12k. all drop n'hook, always dispatched etc etc (company driver).

avg 2500$ paycheck x5 paychecks...as a company driver is pretty nice, but i was stressed out beyond belief and only getting 2 hrs of "sleep",if you could call it that...a night...

i quit and went to school for a year.

i could see being a trainer again, but not running like that,at all.
