actually if ya wanna get technical i was in jb lease for 5 months and 21 days, and made ok money at times. but when i can not reconcile my differences with a few then I decided to part ways. all of this is by my choice and my choice alone.

I appreciate runion25's open and honest blog.It answered many questions that have lingered w/me personally although I still have an interest in LP somewhere.A 3 month/90 day at a time deal w/NO repercussions if trucked is turned in after that time.
I now wonder IF the freight had picked up enough that runion25 would still be there had he not left.
what say you runion25? could you have held on a bit longer IF the freight had been there? Would you possibly still be there at good ol'JBH?
KUDOS to you for the start to finish ordeal. A man makes his own decisions based upon his idealogy/philosphy. I APPRECIATE THE HELL OUT OF YOUR SINCERITY and best of luck to you car hauling.

i think i would still be their if freight hadnt slowed down to a crawl i may have stick around for a little while longer. i do love being over the road and seeing everything that i saw. now im hauling cars for an auction and i enjoy it. i am at home atlease every other night if not every night. i have to admit i have 2 great boss's though! they give me my loads and thats it, they dont care how i run when i run it and they dont call and bother me when im running. only thing they say is , " ya know your job" and thats that. plus this a small company compared to jb and usa truck ( where i started ) and when i call in they actually know a face of who their talking too and i know exactly who i am talking too. no truck number no driver id or anything like that. so far the best experience i have had with this small company has been great. my check is their every thursday night around 7 pm even if im on the road. if their is a mistake then they fix it right their and within 30 min u have another check for the right amount. here lately with these guys ive run a few extra loads from delware and new jersey. plus its GREAT to have a truck that aint goverened!! ( thats rocks )!!

You made a smart move away from a 2005 JB Freightshaker Fleece. -and for some reason you still think your fleece was Golden? -but don't they all.

I say, Run Forrest, Run! Run away from that fleece (and JB).

Happy you found a decent and caring employer and a making a very fair wage.

When you ended the fleece what were the penalities (costs)?

I don't think a company operative would come out and say they left after 5 weeks, and that freight slowed to a "crawl".

They would still be spouting about how "great" it is.

Seems like he got off easy ...

I've heard many more horror stories about being charged several thousand dollars to quit, and ruined DAC's.

Though there are plenty of companies that don't consider dropping a lease for hiring ... but abandonment is another story.

Good luck to the OP, glad to hear it all worked out! :biggrin_25520:
