I worked for JB Hunt before and I really thought they were one of the better OTR outfits primarily because they leave the drivers alone! They expect you to do what you say you can do! They do not hold anyone's hands and that seems to bug people. I NEVER had to sit an entire weekend. I had some short runs and have sat Saturday night until Monday morning, But I was where I was supposed to be and found it to be rather relaxing and less stressful. I got good miles and never had any problem with them.

I have seen way to many disgruntled former and current employees with that company and that nasty little recruiter that comes in here from thier office computers really rubs me the wrong way....but like I said never worked there I would take your advise over my own if I was a new trucker breaking in on them
-
your completely right this company will go to anymeans to get you into orientation when i was up there they must of sent most of the guys home. Or lied to u and said the account was full but that had an opening in a over the road position. I worked dedicated for them and i must say they treat u like you were born yesterday. not to mention they will lie to you every chance they get. all i can say is put an o in between that jb and that what u will get inreturn job hunt.

Wow. 115 pages on this thread alone and counting. I think there are about three more JB threads here in the bad company section.
I've read this testimony about 25 times the past six months from other former JB drivers. It never ends at that company, I'll say that much.
It seems we have a new guest here at the site who claims to be a neutral JB recruiter. As if there is such a creature in the world. I believe he's just biding his time while making connections. Sooner or later he'll start playing his true role. You ex-JB drivers should watch this guy and call him on any claims he makes. He's not here to pal around, after all. Of course, neither am I. -
Not to worry. He knows we don't allow recruiting here, and I have booted a few of his co-workers out of here myself.

No one has yet to ask me a question, save for WiseOne when he announced my presence and brought up a couple topics.
And Tip, it looks like you and I are gonna have a BE-UUUU-Tiful Friendship. (insert sarcastic eye-roll here.) -
My eyes have been rolling. And watering. And burning. This is because I went back through these 115 pages and reread some of those juicy testimonies.
Man...115 pages of posts. And that's in one thread alone. -
I won't argue with you that we have had and are still having problems. I don't have to read 115 pages of a thread to figure that out. At least we're trying to fix them.
Evidence: I'm here, aren't I? -
lol....thats some awesome evidence there dude
i almost went to work for you yo-yo's years ago...believe me im glad i didnt....same with good ole swifty too...

"We're trying to fix it..."
Famous last words, as in the last words I heard before walking out the door for the last time at many an outfit.
I've been hearing this for 12 years from the likes of SwiftQuit and JB JobHunt.
