You ex-JB Hunt drivers really should start that support group, too. Maybe you could meet once every few years in, say, Giants' Stadium. You'd probably fill it. While this "reunion" is going on, maybe the we ex-Swifty guys could meet in Yankee Stadium across the river from you, which would be filled to overflowing. I wonder if 500,000 ex-Swift drivers would even fit in Yankee Stadium? We could then march collectively down Wall Street, collectively stomp our feet once, and cause a major earthquake at the New York Stock Exchange.
Some people claim that all the quitters at J.B. Hunt and Swift are people with "attitude" problems or people who've shot themselves in the foot and have only themselves to blame. Those guys have no clue. Start this group, meet in Giants' Stadium, and show them that numbers don't lie--JBH sucks, as does Swift. -
I had the same problem with them myself. However, everytime they called, the same area code would show up (and I didn't know anybody from that area personally)
So what I would do is (after asking them several times nicely to take me off their calling list as I was gainfully employed and happy with my current employer) to take my screaming meanie wake up clock and after saying hello, hold it up to the phone speaker. I think after a total of three times doing this they never called me back....... -
If JBH minions started calling me up and wouldn't leave me alone, I'd get these callers' names, find out where they live (they probably live close to JBH terminals), go to Yahoo's "people search", find out their home addresses and phone numbers, and start pestering them. I'd call them up around, say, dinner time and just chat about nothing with them. If that didn't work, I'd start calling them up around 2 in the morning.
Come on. There MUST be a way to stop these losers from calling you. Your states' attorney generals may be able to help you. -
Well JBH called hubby right after he left them. When they called for the second time I called them and asked them for their do not call department ( how funny is that that they have a whole department devoted to people calling in telling them not to call anymore.) Well I told them not to call and the lady asked why and I told them exactly why and that we wouldn't drive for JBH if they were the last trucking company in the world. As of today they have not called back.
-
When they kept calling my hubby I told them he can call them in a few days once he gets home, I told them he flipped the truck in INSERT CITY!
And he look foward to talking to them when he got home!
They stopped calling after that! -
Yeah, I worked for them for 3 weeks and believe it or not didnt recieve a paycheck.
So I quit, and they call just like you say, I tell them I am not coming back to them at all, and they also just keep calling and calling just as you say. -
There has GOT to be a way to stop this nonsense. A legal way, that is. You guys could start some collective action against J.B. couldn't you? I mean, if 100 of you complain to the FBI or a few states' attorney generals, something is bound to come of it.
Apparently, this IS working for J.B. Hunt. You guys who are posting here wishing they'd stop pestering you are obviously in the minority. I'd guess JB's minions are calling ALL their ex-drivers to ask those drivers to return to the fold, and many are taking them up on their offer. This is MY explanation of why they keep bugging you. They're getting plenty of positive reinforcement from somebody, guys. Sounds like they're getting it from LOTS of "somebodys". -
Well I been driving for JB and have found no problems with them. Some things that are said are people wanting revenge; JB is the only company that will pay .40 CPM with only 3 months experience. ALL trucking companies treat you like ************ unless you get a BACK BONE, and stand up for your rights. No job is going to hand you everything they promised unless you fight for it, that is call LIFE boys and girls. JB had a deserved bad reputation but has started to clean up so like all thinks it is what you put into it.
-
Yes there are companies that give you what they promise in orientation, that pay good wages and that do not require the driver to be creative in their logging or drive like an idiot to make a living either.
The bad rep of JB hunt continues........I wonder why?
