I guess if you just like to fight for what is yours then you might enjoy it there. -
When deciding on the merits of a trucking company, I rely on what I see its drivers doing. Sure, there will be "happy" drivers at any of these crappy outfits that get bashed here, but if that outfit is seeing 100% turnover in 9 months, it doesn't matter what those giddy drivers say about the place. I'll believe the majority rules and avoid those companies like the plague.
Only if JB's turnover came down to may 30% would I start to think they've "improved". And only then after it was 30% for like 5 years straight. -
Apparently, JB Hunt must be hurting for "qualified" drivers, since they just increased their pay to some of their drivers. Problem with this increase is that it is not the same for all drivers at JB Hunt and varies by region. Why would JB Hunt pay some drivers in certain parts of the country more than others? Sounds like the same ole JB Hunt "snake-oil" scam to me.

Actually, I never worked there. Yes, I did apply at one time to them, and that in itself is it's own horror story (of which I will post on here sometime when I get the time) But that's how they got my phone number is off of the application.
But the screaming meanie alarm clock worked wonders, they haven't called back since!
(I do like the one about he flipped the truck at _Insert City Here_) that's a good one! -

JB is like any other company. I have been with them 5 years now. Are they the best...no, are they the worst...no again. They are like any other big company, there are days I think they are the best place to work and days I can wait to go home...Some people seem to think the driver is the most important part, but everyone there makes it work, and the bottom line is to make money so everyone stays employed. Everyone has bad days from the driver to the janitor. I have seen some very nicely written negitive responses and you have to remember 1 thing. It is just one side of the story. When that happens is it justified, is the driver having one of his bad day, is the company haveing one of its bad days? You will never find a company where everyone is happy. The things I can not stand for you may have no problem with so my opinion is just that an opinion...

I drove for jb that lasted 3 weeks. One thing got to me was that, their was a lot of drivers who did not know how to fill out a logbook, for real.
As for hooking to a trailer,no training none. If you dont mind sitting around truck stops, their the company for you sure they will pay you 40cpm,but if you dont get the miles, its not worth your time. -
Jb only pays .34 for 3 mths experience are you a recruiter by chance ? and Ill agree theres bull with any company theres a bit more at JB somedays forced dispatch never home on time then they try to short your time off and many other broken promises.. they arent about to pay top pay to a new recruit with no exp they hate paying experienced drivers that
