yo have to register at the above link, then any time ANYBODY calls you, you can lodge a complaint. -
Actually recruiting doesnt fall under the same laws as telemarketing so the do not call list means nothing. Like I said...occasionally we might have your number from two sources and most of the time the removal people catch it.....occasionally one will slip through and we will accidently call you again. The system is not perfect, but it works. One more thing...do you know the main place where we get our leads? Refferals from other drivers. If you are in our system, most likely it was because someone you know gave it to us. Which brings up another thing. If we remove you from the system and your "uncle bob" comes over here and during orientation he gives us your number again. It might show up in the system again.
Once again, I tell you....if you want to be removed, just call 1-800-2jbhunt. Ask for the call removal dept and ask to be removed.
Sheesh, I dont know what the big deal is anyway. Just like drivers are recruited, im recruited in the corporate world all the time. Phone calls like that dont bother me at all. Im always open to hear what someone has to say. You never know when someone might offer something great. -

Q&A: The National Do Not Call Registry
you are a telemarketer selling a service, and that being a job. i would still report you daily to the DO Not Call Registry.

and then there is this site which has links to each state of the country and some specific laws regarding unwaanted phone calls.
Laws Governing Telemarketing and Automated Dialing -
You can report all you want.....I guess thats your right to waste...I mean....do with your time anything you want. Im just telling you like it is. Recruiting for jobs doesnt fall under the catagory of telemarketing nor does the do not call list mean anything. Now...with that said. Im just a recruiter posting on a message board for fun....Im not an expert on law. But I can bet that working for a multi billion dollar fortune 500 company that we probably have a few lawyers that do know the law a little better than someone on a message board.

Duckie the next time they call tell them when they ask for you....just a minute I have to wheel him in to the phone, or sure I would love to drive for you guys I just go out of jail this morning for DUI can you help me? or pretend to be someone else and inform them that you were killed in a truck wreck 2 days ago, ....ya know anything goofy along those lines it wastes their time and they will quit.
If all else fails call block is a great invention~~~ so is a letter from your attorney!
Went thru the same thing for MONTHS, so I understand how ya are feelin. -
Me, I just wanna say you and your recruiter buddies aren't the only ones coming here for entertainment. And I just got a good chuckle from your post above, the post where you say something like "I listen to recruiters. One never knows when he'll stumble across a great deal."
Uh-huh. This is good advice, but remember--we're talking about J.B. Hunt here. So if I'm getting called by J.B. Hunt, you want me to listen to what the recruiter says because he may offer a "great deal"? Sorry, pup, but I have to blow off your advice, at least if the caller is affiliated with J.B. Hunt. I know they won't be delivering on any promises they make to me. If they did, the recruiter wouldn't be calling me in the first place, as those drivers who hired onto J.B. Hunt years ago would still be with them. But those drivers didn't stay on with them. And neither did most of last year's drivers. Hell, of those who hired on just 6 months ago, I bet half are gone by now. And you want me to give a J.B. recruiter my time? I wouldn't give a J.B. recruiter enough time to ask him to take me off that calling list.
Yeah, last I checked, your turnover was, what, 125%? That doesn't bode well for those who make promises. Perhaps if J.B. Hunt treated its drivers like they should, we wouldn't be having this "conversation".
To anyone who is fed up with J.B. pestering you, simply call up your attorney general's office. When enough people to constitute a "herd" have filed a complaint, something will be done about this garbage. -
Hey Me At JB,
Maybe when can turn this thread around and you could tell me why you would recruit for a company with such a bad reputation as JB. They have had a bad reputation for many years and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
Also, Why would anyone is their right mind sign on with JB?
