Once again, you dont seem to have a clue about recruiting. We get paid absolutely nothing for just getting a driver to orientation. If I lie to a driver to get him into orientation, he shows up, found out I lied and leaves....i get paid ZERO. If I have too many drivers leave orientation, I get written up. Too many write ups, I get boxed up. Im paid to hire drivers. The reason I do well over here is because IM TRUTHFUL WITH MY DRIVERS. Probably half of the drivers I hire a week come from refferals from other drivers I hire or refferals I get from other drivers on the phone.
Once again...thanks for the entertainment.

Hey, it's my pleasure to keep you entertained. I'm getting the last laugh, though. I'm not coming to work at JBH, after all. Not anytime soon, anyway.
Me, I'm skeptical about recruiters in general. This is because most truck drivers are sensible and won't leave a job unless they absolutely have to. Something drives these guys away. Something causes these non-herd creatures known as truck drivers to act like cattle. And at J.B. Hunt, drivers act like a herd one would have seen on the old Chisolm trail in 1876. Sure, some drivers will quit their driving jobs if it's too hot outside or too cloudy, but most quit because that "something" is a good reason. Most of the time it's SEVERAL good reasons.
Do you ever wonder what those reasons might be? I mean, you HAVE to wonder why you need to recruit so many drivers at J.B. Hunt. You tell guys this outfit is great, convince them to hire on, and then find out later they've flown the coop. If I were a recruiter at JBH, I'd be seeking out answers if my recruits were leaving in droves. If all I got was a lame excuse, I myself would be out the door.
Yeah, plenty of drivers leave J.B. each week, meaning sweet-talking recruiters must have misled them somehow. And each week the army that is yesterday's quitters is replaced by a new army of new hires, many of whom don't last more than six months. Yeah, somebody is being dishonest in your recruiting department. They have to be given the turnover you see there.
I've never worked for J.B. and I'd like to say I never will. However, if J.B.'s turnover fell to about 30% for five years straight, I'd probably apply there. But I know this is but a pipe dream. I know I'll never work at J.B. Hunt, so whatever a J.B. recruiter says to me, it'll fall on deaf ears.
Clean up your turnover problem for the next few years and we'll talk. I'm not gonna go to work for a company whose turnover is 125% or even 100%. It's gonna have to be 30% or even lower. If that means I never drive again, so be it. I don't care. I can do other things. I don't NEED truck driving, and I certainly don't need JBH and its tall tales. -

Actually, thanks to you, Me, I'm getting some clues about recruiting. Some of those clues are leading to facts in the great mystery that is J.B. Hunt's turnover issue. Keep it comin'. This is getting good.
You really shot yourself in the foot when you claimed you're 'the number one recruiter'. Is this number one company-wide, in your region, or at just your terminal? It matters not to me, really, as I'd still think the same if I knew you were the WORLD'S greatest recruiter. You are number one thanks to QUITTERS. Yes, those jobs you are filling are those that have been vacated by unsatisfied drivers. Why were they dissatisifed? What pushed them over the edge to quit? Have you ever stopped and wondered?
You go find out what pushed them out the door, and then come back and tell me. If you do this, I'll think there is hope for you. And no, I still won't be applying at J.B. Hunt. -
If the member on this board who called me yesterday wants to be indentified, Im sure he will tell us. In otherwords, its none of your business who I signed up for orientation. As far as me having to justify to you that im truthful with some sort of proof. Why would i need to? Im not trying to recruit you or anyone else on this board. The person yesterday contacted me. I dont need to give anyone permission...I worded that a little wrong. What I meant, if I screw that driver in anyway, Im sure he will tell everyone about it.
You know one of your own knows me very well from another message board ive been on for years. Ive never had a driver from there come back and say I lied to them either. Amazing huh? How you doing, Cybergal? Long time no chat! In fact a few months back she was the one who invited me here. -
SO what is your purpose in bringing me into this? -
Me, have you found out anything on why your recruits are quitting yet?
I'm waitin' here, man. Go ask somebody. I would be. And quit pestering people with those annoying phone calls. -

I never said I was "THE #1 RECRUITER" I said Im one of the top recruiters, which I am.
Sent you a PM, cybergal....shhhhhh lol
