First off if the dispatchers knew how to do their jobs they could do a lot better job of pre planning. We all realize there are times in this business that freight is slow but not all the time. When ever you question a dispatcher about miles it's always blamed on slow freight or on the driver himself never because these dispatchers could care less about the driver. JBH treats drivers poorly. 2500 miles? It's more like 1800-2000. Big deal 3600 miles in one week isn't a great feat if you have a dispatcher that is on top of things and knows how to take eta's and pre plans to keep the driver running. They don't care. They have a big enough fleet so their freight moves just not necessarily an individual driver. You get the miles? Great! Rejoice like I said you are definitely in the minority.

If and when they do just laugh at them. And tell them they need to change their pitch because the old one just isn't playing anymore.

While I have never been a recuiter for JBH, I have been in telemarketing and what Brake Pad said about writing down numbers is correct. If someone is interested or sounded remotely interested it is routine to take down the information and used as a "warm" lead. Also it is correct that if you are contacted and wish to have your named removed you must ask for that department and stay on the line to have your information entered for removal. Once you hang up all your information is gone from the screen. And Brake Pad I applaud you for your convictions and your decision not to stay with JBH as a recuiter.

I'm new to the forums but I've been driving for about 13yrs. For those that keep getting calls from JB let me know. I will gladly give you my ex-wifes phone number for you to give them. They bug the crap out of her wanting me to go work for them so a few more calls won't matter.

You're asking the wrong person. Many years ago I had a great set of neighbors who drove 'team' for Covenant and swore they were the best employers - you couldn't tell that by reading this board!

More recently, some ex-neighbors drove 'team' for Great Coastal Express; they had nothing but good things to say about them and they're located just a short distance from you:

This same couple got completely out of trucking but still maintained their CDL licenses (employment in property management didn't work out); the husband recently went to work for Ryder Logistics and claims he should be able to make $50k a year without trouble (Western NC).

Unfortunately, you are right about having to 'check' your integrity and credibility (and experience) at the door as you will be seen as a 'troublemaker' at best and most likely an 'intolerant person' (racist or homophobe) at worst if you don't embrace the 'parallel reality' called 'diversity'.

Integrity and credibility have nothing to do with tolerance and diversity. The first involves being truthful, honest, and steadfast, while the second involves recognizing that one has to tolerate the differences between individuals and allow said individuals the same opportunity to be successful in the field you yourself are in.

Let me clarify why you get labeled intolerant: It's clear that you don't mind your own business and keep the wheels turning on your rig. You have problems with authority as in evidence from your statements about trainers (even if they are poor ones). And who the hell cares who's doing what in the back row of the lot? Don't you have something else to do with your time, like work?

But you don't. That's intolerance. You stop everything in your world to cry about the existence of a type of person you don't like. Heck, I've never seen you on the boards until today, and every single post you're in, you can't go a paragraph without offensive garbage falling out of your mouth.

    :sunny:

Your complete lack of insight (?) and lame attempt at 'manipulation' really doesn't deserve a response. Fortunately, the intellectual argument supporting the 'parallel reality called Diversity (gaydom, etc.)' is as bankrupt now as it ever was.

So-called 'Gay Truckers'? This is nothing new as the trucking industry probably has the highest percentage of 'gay employees' outside of the military.

'Gay Drivers' aren't having an easy time 'coming out of the closet' as is expected and is as it should be. Fortunately, these 'fools' are mostly easy to spot. Lame attempts at physical and emotional 'intimidation' and grossly 'manipulating the truth' (brazen lying) are the most obvious hallmarks of 'gay driverdom' (not referring to 'trucker's stories' either).

Nothing really makes me more ill than a homosexual/bisexual 'man' who is married to a woman and has 'fathered' children with her or married to a woman with children from a previous relationship. Every single one of these 'relationships' I've been familiar with are/were 'unhealthy' for all involved and this 'symptom' carries over into the employment arena. These marital 'relationships' are also not new to the Trucking Industry unfortunately.

Every single employment 'venue' dominated by 'gay' drivers I've had experience with were 'dysfunctional' to the extreme. 'Toleration' of 'negative, self serving, self debasing behavior' is not an option.

Your points are well taken as you've made clear your position in life and society. A 'cryin shame' as you don't appear to aspire to anything greater than your 'self destruction'.
