    Show me a lease that don't ...

It's not your equipment at all - it's the company's until paid off.

Owning your authority and truck is running "independent" -

company leasing is just renting a job.

You can make better money buying your authority, and just renting the truck (Ryder, etc ...) - though you will never own it.

But then again, how many lease ops ever do own their truck in the end?

i meant in the case where you buy your own truck and lease it on with another company. Or does JB hunt not offer that?

agree 100%,i'll add to that by saying this even tho the company says no forced loads does'nt mean the dispatch sees it that way.they can be a ####y bunch and if you turn down a load they will more than likely look at it as you being a crybaby and it will piss them off and they will f with u on purpose.

but on the other hand not to be mean or anything it sounds like the driver above is new to the game cause i can see the way he is looking at it as if it's all crap loads.but the point is if the only load that is left once your rdy to roll is a lesser load they would rather put u under that load to keep you rolling.but that also comes down to how good is your dispatcher they can make or break you.if you let em......they also have favs to don't let them lie to you and say they don't.....lets just say the ones that ever turn down loads they look at as ones they can't depend on...being that they pre book loads and they depend on the trucks that are headed that way to pick up the loads in that area instead of having to call in another truck that is not as close.so it all goes hand in hand and there is alot that goes on behind the scenes that rookies or even so of the vets don't know about on how it all works.hope this helps.

Don't put all your eggs into one basket. I mean, think about it....You buy/lease the truck from the company. You make payments to the company. You get and depend on loads from the company. This company does the bookeeping also. Do you think this company has you by the gonads?

Yes, you can lease on if you own your truck, but "exclusivity" is usually the purpose of leasing on truck owners, for most companies.

Otherwise, probably best to get your own authority and book your own loads.
